Here comes 2012/ first forray into blogging!

Well, here it comes again.... new year with all its good intentions and new running goals, most of which usually end up out of the window by the second week of January!

Well this year is going to be different..... I just stumbled across something called Janathon which has prompted me not only to start blogging but also not fall of any sort of exercise/alcohol wagon till at least February!

Targets for 2012
1 Manchester marathon 29 April
Having decided not to do anymore marathons (IT band issues!) I noticed this one started and finished at the end of my road!! Not hoping for anything special but would like to get under 4.25 to stop by soon to be brother in law gloating after he beat my time in the VLM last year!

2 Manchester 10k
Not expecting much here as its shortly after the marathon.

3 an olympic distance triathlon probably tatton park in september.
 I did the tatton sprint triathlon last year and absolutely loved it!

4 Drink less, starting with a dry January......

5 Keep this blog going!

    (They're two of my goals for the new year too!)
